Growing up in an Air Force family, Billy has been around some sort of airplane his whole life. He started flying in 1988 and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Professional Aviation Technology from Indiana State University in 1994. In 1992 he started teaching aerobatics and has been hooked ever since. In 1997 he graduated from Undergraduate Pilot Training and started flying the KC-135R for the Air Force Reserves. He was hired by Chautauqua Airlines in 2001 and is now a Captain on the Embraer 145, based in Indianapolis. Billy has over 6000 hours of flight time in 20 different aircraft, with 600 of it teaching folks how to fly upside down.
John lives and breathes airplanes and has loved aviation his entire life. He started flying when he was 16 years old and earned his private pilots license at 17. He attended Purdue University from 2000 to 2003 earning a Bachelors of Science Degree in Aviation Technology. While at Purdue, John participated in numerous aviation organizations including Alpha Eta Rho, the Purdue University Flight Team, and Purdue Professional Pilot club. He was a flight instructor not only at Purdue, but also Indianapolis Terry Airport, now known as Indianapolis Executive, while in school. Upon graduation, John taught full time at Indianapolis Executive until he got hired by Chautauqua Airlines in November of 2003. In March of 2008, John moved to Dubai and currently flies the Airbus A330 and A340 aircraft for Emirates Airlines. However, when he is not at work, you will find in the US flying upside down during every free moment.
Ryan is a 27 year old who has been flying professionally since 2001. He went for his first aerobatic ride at age 16 when he begged a local aerobatic pilot to take him along on a flight. After nearly an hour of aerobatic flying in a de Havilland Super Chipmunk, the planes owner was ready to land where Ryan only craved more; he was officially hooked! He went on to earn a Bachelors Degree in Professional Flight Technology from Indiana State University in 2005. While at ISU he competed, then later coached the ISU flight team for the National Intercollegiate Flying Association competition. He was also a supervisor of flight for the flight school where he additionally instructed students in instrument flight, tail wheel, commercial flight, multi - engine, and of course aerobatics. Ryan went on to fly for the Indiana Department of Transportation and is now one of the Operations Managers of the Indianapolis International Airport. Ryan also holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Indianapolis. He has over 1500 hour of flight time with nearly ¼ of his total time devoted to aerobatic flight and instruction. When he's not flying upside down he's either in the gym, on the lake, at the golf course, or spending time with family.
Haley was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. She attended high school at Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School, and earned a Bachelors Degree in Communications from Indiana University. Haley began flying at a young age with her father who was a private pilot. Her love of aviation has gone on and she continues to fly out of Mount Comfort for fun in a Piper Super Cub with friends when she’s not upside down with Billy.
David is Billy's younger brother and is no stranger to airplanes or adventure. He attended college at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale in Florida and graduated with a degree in Advertising Design in 1993. After working for several years in print design he ventured out on his own and opened his own company, IDEAS Design, Inc. in 1997. In addition to running his busy web design company, now located in Albuquerque, NM and fulfilling his marketing director duties for Grayout Aerosports he manages to make time for his thrill seeking hobbies; snow boarding, mountain biking, motorcycle racing, and the latest adventure... stunt racing his motorcycle up against his big brother Billy on the runway. With his creative style and perpetual enthusiasm David fits in perfectly with the Grayout crew. | ||
